The Taste and Art Stroll in Del Mar is an annual event held in the heart of the charming village of Del Mar. The event includes a free art stroll and a ticketed restaurant and wine/brewery tastes. See 2008 Time Warner Cable Ad.

The Greening of Downtown

The DMVA, with the assistance of the City of Del Mar and Coast Waste Management, is in the midst of developing a three-part downtown recycling program. The first phase of the recycling program, utilizing temporary containers for recyclables during special events, will be put into action during the DMVA’s Summer Solstice celebration in June.

DMVA Visitor / Community Information Center Reopens in Time For Summer
Del Mar – June 3, 2009 – If you’re near Powerhouse Park in Del Mar and wondering what’s nearby be sure and stop by the Del Mar Visitor/Community Information Center. Housed under a green and white pop-up canopy on the grassy area in front of the Powerhouse, the Center is sponsored by Del Mar Village Association (DMVA) and City of Del Mar and run by volunteers who cheerfully answer questions and provide information on downtown Del Mar restaurants, merchants and hotels. The Visitors/Community Center is also stocked full with restaurant menus, maps, coupons, brochures and flyers listing Del Mar shopping and services.

Tasteful observances are planned in all Brigantine locations, including a “$40 for 40” Dinner for two offered Thursdays during May, and the release of a special 40th anniversary bottling of the Brigantine’s 2007 Reserve Chardonnay. Recently, Del Mar Hills Academy, Del Mar Heights Elementary School, and The Winston School each received a $1,000 contribution from the Del Mar Village Association (DMVA) as a result of the organization’s successful Holiday Wonderland event held last December.
