  • Desiged, installed and and donated to the City of Del Mar three 5' x 8' Lifeguard Station downtown directories/maps to connect beach visitors to downtown Del Mar. See Lifeguard Directories/Maps

  • Developing and implementing a downtown "Go Green" programs to improve special event recycling, downtown container recycling and improved commercial area recycling
  • Developing, installing and donating to the City of Del Mar 10 downtown dual recycling/trash cans and beginning a pilot program to track diversion from these receptacles to qualify for a state conservation grant
  • Continuing to identify and fund new streetscape and other design improvements to improve the pedestrian experience in downtown Del Mar, such as benches, newsracks etc.
  • Working with the Historical Society to identify new projects to enhance historic preservation and education on the history of downtown
  • Working on transportation and parking improvement issues with local and regional resources, such as development of a downtown shuttle program
  • Continuing to work with the City to identify new regulations to encourage investment and improvements in the downtown
  • Continuing to identify programs to beautify downtown Del Mar

Promotion/Events Committee, Sara Harnly Chair

• Developing cultural events such as art and music programs for downtown Del Mar to encourage residents and visitors to stay, dine, and play in  downtown Del Mar
• Continuing to expand and develop signature community events such as Summer Solstice, Taste and Art Stroll in Del Mar, Halloween in the Village, Holiday Wonderland and Annual Tree Lighting.  Click Here
• Continue to sponsor programs for the Holidays downtown such as the Holiday DIning Voucher program, visits from Santa along with ads and editorial PR
• Continue to host Del Mar Village restaurant tastings, vintner dinners, grand openings and community celebrations
• Continuing to support collaborative events such as the Breast Cancer 3Day Walk through Del Mar, Fairground and Racetrack Events etc.
• Continuing to work with new ideas for special events in Del Mar such as Film Festivals, Bike and Running Races etc.

Economic Restructuring Committee, Mike Slosser Chair

• Produce and distribute downtown Del Mar Business Directories and Maps. See Del Mar Business Directory
• Conduct business seminars and breakfasts for downtown merchants to educate our downtown businesses on key local and regional issues

• Helping to promote tourism for downtown businesses with events and media outreach
• Continuing to expand the DMVA website business resources including, Interactive Del Mar Village Map, Listings for Special Events, Things to do in and around Del Mar, Downtown Happy Hours and Promotions, Del Mar Facts and History so much more!
• Promoting downtown Del Mar businesses through internet, media, events, cooperative advertising and other outreach marketing efforts for all seasons

• Sponsoring and assisting in development of the annual Del Mar Times Community and Visitors Guide
• Working with the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club and Del Mar Fairgrounds to cross promote and support Del Mar Community events and programs
