Committee Volunteers

The Del Mar Village Association would like to encourage you to take part in the revitalization and historic preservation of downtown Del Mar. Invest in your community! There are many opportunities to get involved and to make a difference.  There are four volunteer committees of the DMVA open for membership: Del Mar History, Design, Economic Restructuring and Promotions (See DMVA Committees and DMVA Projects).  These committees are always looking for new volunteers.

Summer Visitor Information Center Volunteers

The Del Mar Village Association is seeking volunteers that are out-going, enthusiastic, comfortable talking with people and are familiar with the Del Mar area to help with the Del Mar Visitors Information Center. The volunteers will act as Ambassadors to Del Mar and provide assistance to the community and visitors by answering questions and providing information.

The Visitor Information Center is open Saturdays and Sundays June 20th-August 30th, from 11:00am until 3:00pm every summer. There are 2 available shifts per day, morning shift 11:00am-1:00pm and afternoon shift 1:00pm-3:00pm. The Visitor Information Center is located at Powerhouse Park, just adjacent to the Powerhouse Community Center under the bright green canopy. Volunteers are encouraged to enjoy a day in the sun and beach along with complimentary parking and a snack at the Del Mar Snack Shack.

To become a Visitor Information Volunteer please send an email to the DMVA at info@delmarmainstreet.com. Please indicate your preference as to the weekend day you would like to volunteer along with either morning or afternoon shifts.
